"I found this program to be very useful. I am starting my 10th year of teaching full time. This course was a wonderful refresher and updated me on where I need to concentrate to improve my teaching styles." Susan Jenkins, M.S., R.D.H.,

Make an academic career plan

Create your academic portfolio

Whether you are on a tenure track or seeking other forms of advancement, you need to create and manage the collection of documents that reflect your time spent--and your effectiveness--in teaching, research, and other areas of academic life. Through the IAHE courses, you will add to your portfolio and be able to document your achievements.

Understand the requirements of academic institutions

Through discussion-board postings and online conversations with your fellow IAHE participants, you will learn what it takes to succeed in the unique world of allied health education. You will understand the expectations imposed on faculty, including how to balance the demands of teaching in the classroom and the clinic, working with struggling students, and managing conflict with fellow faculty and administrators. The IAHE courses are designed to help you succeed with your academic career.

Gain valuable online experience

It's clear that more and more teaching will be done virtually. Through interactions with our expert faculty, you will learn the secrets of effective online instruction even as you study and discuss other topics. In some of the IAHE courses, you'll have any opportunity to consider and design your own distance learning experiences.
