What best describes you?

  • A new educator eager for the latest teaching methods and strategies to help your students succeed?
  • A private practitioner who's considering a new career path, or one who has already taken the leap and now is preparing for an academic position?
  • A mid-career faculty member who wants to get retooled for a new generation of learners?

The Institute for Teaching and Learning in Medicine (ITL-Med) is a comprehensive teacher training program for educators in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and physician assistant programs.

During this 3.5-day interprofessional program, the participants--designated as ITL-Med Scholars--will learn the skills of a master teacher while networking with dozens of peers from across the U.S. The ITL-Med balances in-class discussions with simulation laboratory instruction, one-on-one coaching, small-group projects, lectures, case studies, peer coaching, problem-solving exercises, role playing, self-study (asynchronous) learning, and presentations by ITL-Med Scholars.

If you're ready to acquire the skills of a master teacher,
ITL-Med can give you the tools you need to succeed.
