Course DescriptionCultural competence encompasses a range of mindsets, behaviors, and attitudes that, when embodied, create deeply engaging and inclusive interactions with students, faculty, and colleagues. In this course, we’ll explore the dimensions of cultural competence and share strategies for moving beyond the conventional perspectives that limit and harm our communities to uplift the unique identities within our community. We’ll discuss how to choose courage over comfort, overcome imposter syndrome, and sustain commitment to self-growth in this area through vulnerability. |
