AI You Can Use: Practical Applications for Academic Leaders

June 22 - June 26

 Course Description

Discover how AI can help streamline the work you do every day by automating and personalizing repetitive tasks while keeping human judgment at the center. This course will introduce practical ways to identify routine processes that may benefit from AI support, such as drafting communications, organizing information, summarizing content, generating templates, and tailoring messages for different audiences.

Participants will explore actionable steps for integrating AI into existing school workflows without requiring a complete redesign of current systems. The course will focus on realistic use cases, implementation considerations, and strategies for helping teams adopt AI tools thoughtfully and effectively.

An emphasis will be placed on responsible and secure use of Generative AI. Participants will learn how to evaluate when AI is appropriate, what information should never be entered into public AI tools, and how to protect school proprietary information, student and employee data, and personally identifiable information. By the end of the course, participants will have a clearer understanding of how to use AI to improve efficiency, support personalization, and strengthen workflows while maintaining privacy, security, and professional standards.
