Course DescriptionWe carefully screen new faculty based on their expected ability to contribute to programmatic needs and mission. But they can only be successful when they are effectively onboarded to the school’s culture and pedagogy. Schools are sometimes more intentional about the former than the latter. Adoption of school-wide or division-specific pedagogical tools depends on (1) creating an inclusive community where all new hires can grow, (2) providing clear training on and expectations for implementation of the pedagogy, and (3) establishing a coaching and accountability plan. Tailored for school administrators, this course is designed to assist you in facilitating new teachers' quicker grounding in your school's unique educational approach. |
